Come along for a hands-on session on how virtual reality is transforming learning, teaching and professional development.

This Virtual Reality (VR) showcase is delivered by VirtualSpeech, an award-winning provider of AI-powered VR learning experiences.

The event offers a hands-on opportunity to explore how VR can be used to develop communication, presentation, leadership and employability skills in an immersive and engaging way.

This event supports the University’s strategic focus on innovation in teaching, student experience, and graduate employability. By using virtual reality to develop communication, presentation, and leadership skills, it helps equip students with the confidence and capabilities needed for the workplace. It also encourages staff to explore innovative, digitally enhanced approaches to learning and teaching.

What to expect:

  • Live demonstrations of VirtualSpeech’s VR learning platform
  • Hands‑on experience using VR headsets in DigiLabs
  • Insight into how VR can support teaching, learning and skills development
  • Discussion around how this could be used in teaching, modules, workshops or staff/student development
  • Opportunity to ask questions and explore potential use cases across different subject areas
