PC Clinic for Students
The PC Clinic supports University students with their personal devices.
The service is strictly appointment-only and allows students to choose a convenient time for IT support.
PC Clinic - Freshers' week
From Monday 21 September to Friday 02 October (excluding the weekend), the PC Clinic pop-up will be temporarily located in the library (level 3).
Time: 10:00am until 3:00pm
No appointment required. This will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so we kindly ask that you bring your device, be prepared to take a seat, and wait briefly if necessary.
PC Clinic booking system
The appointment booking system will be available from Monday, 05 October.
Please note that appointments cannot be booked before this date.
Where is the PC Clinic?
Once you have booked your appointment you will receive an email with information on your appointment location.
As this varies depending on the time of year, please do not visit the PC Clinic unless you have received your confirmation email. The PC Clinic does not offer a walk-up service.
What support does the PC Clinic provide?
The PC Clinic provides students with IT support, advice, and assistance in regards to supported University systems and software.

- Connecting to the W-Fi
- Connecting to the VPN
- Duo set-up
- Email set-up
- OneDrive guidance (We do not do house keeping of file storage nor do we offer any form of data recovery)
What is not covered by the PC Clinic?
What we don't support
We do not support out of date device that will not update to a supported version.
- Corporate devices
- Data recovery
- Hardware repairs
- Hardware upgrades
- Operating system failures (BSOD - Blue Screen of Death)
- Out of date devices and operating systems
- Staff managed devices
This service is not for University-managed devices.
Students or staff that have managed device must raise a support case by contact the IT Service Desk .
